Deepwater resident Gerri Balius is happy to announce her maternal grandmother, Clara Agnes Swihart nee Barnhart, is turning 103 years of age February 19, 2023.
Clara was born to Charles and Winnie Mae Barnhart at Mt. Ayr, Iowa in 1920. She is the last surviving sibling out of nine children. Clara gave birth to eight children, two living, 6 passed. She has many grandchildren, great and great great. Clara took care of herself and lived in her own home until a fall last year.
Since the fall last year, Clara resides at Sunnybrook Nursing Home, 400 Highland Street, Fairfield, Iowa 52556. She would love to be showered with cards from all who wish to celebrate this glorious birthday with her.
