The Lady Cardinals made easy work of the visiting Butler Lady Bears last Tuesday night in a lopsided 49-17 win in games featured at "The Pit", or otherwise known as the middle school gym.
Clinton jumped out to an early lead, fueled by Skyte Wilson's shot from behind the arc to take the first period, 12-5.
The Lady Cardinals offense really got going in the second when they reeled off 20 points to Butler's 6 for a 32-11 halftime lead.
The third period was just unfair as the defense of the Lady Cards stifled the Butler offense and held them scoreless in the frame. The 13-0 advantage for Clinton made it 45-11 after three quarters were in the books.
With Lady Cardinals coach Stacie Womack emptying her bench in the fourth, Butler managed a 6-4 margin, but Clinton rolled on to the 49-17 win.
The Lady Cardinals offense was led by Skyte Wilson who dropped 18 points on the Lady Bears and Mercedez Brown who followed closely behind with 16 points of her own.
