The Clinton High School girls soccer team played Smithton High School who fell hard out of the gate to the Clinton Cards.
Fans knew that the Cardinals would probably win against Smithton due to their inexperience as the program is a start-up for them. They traveled to Clinton for the Clinton Cup.
In the first 40 minute half, most were thinking that Smithton would get mercy ruled and be able to end the game before the 2nd half.
At the end of the half the Cardinals were up 6-0. The Cardinals wrapped this game up with a score of 8-0.
Kyle Williamson had the hat trick (3) for Clinton. Kinzlie Hager, Isabella Griffey, Skyte Wilson, Carley Fosnow and Sabrina Meloy all recorded 1 goal for the Cardinals.
