Missouri Girls and Boys State is an intensive week of government study sponsored by the American Legion and it's Auxiliary. This event allows students to form a local government structure, where they then form solutions to problems as they arise, and are able to see how the political process works effectively.
To be considered a candidate for Missouri Girls and Boys State, junior students are nominated by their teachers based on the following criteria; academics, character, leadership, interest in government, community involvement, etc.
Boys and Girls State will be held this month on the campus of Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO.
