On Tuesday, Oct. 19, the CMS Football team beat the Oak Grove Panthers 22-8, in front of a large home crowd. They had quite the year going undefeated. Coach Banks has clearly invested himself in his team as evidenced by his after game comments. Congrats to everybody.
Coach Banks commented, “They Did It! Cards Win 22-8 over Oak Grove to finish their season Undefeated. This is such a tough group of kids! The adversity that these boys overcame over the last three weeks in losing 4 of their starters was really special to witness. They never complained, or made excuses. What they did was fight harder as a team on every snap, of every practice, while continuing their drive for greatness. These boys out scored their opponents this year 128-26 and only turned the ball over two times. Every game they left everything they had on the field, and for that I am beyond proud. I love and respect every single one of these players and they will never truly understand how much they mean to me.”
