Community Tennis Event Brings Bounce Back To Program

Posted

The Community Tennis Tournament was a great success. On the first night, Thursday, May 19 doubles were played at both the Artesian Courts and the Middle School courts.
Coach Tucker wanted to say thanks so much to everyone who came out to play, cheer, and support the program.
It was fun to note that many of the younger participates in this tournament were at one time coached by retired teacher, Aaron Potter. Of course, Coach Potter is still very active. I was told when he first was asked to coach tennis he was a complete rookie and his older players helped him learn the game. Obviously, he became a good coach and a good player. You might remember him for his years as a Cardinal basketball coach. Congrats to all and see you next year.

Winner of the doubles bracket:

1st Place: Aaron Potter and Jake Kenney
2nd Place: Paityn Cook and Kennedy Cook
3rd Place: Von Schmidt and Mark Andrews

Singles were won by:

1st Place: Aaron Hunt
2nd Place: Aaron Potter
3rd Place: Ryan Cook
