HCMF Hosts Annual Big Purple Party

Posted

The Henry County Memory Fund hosted their Annual Big Purple Party on Saturday, May 6th. The Party was held in Hawthorn Bank’s parking lot at the Old Country Club Park location. Many individuals joined the ceremony and walk as we honored our friends, family and loved ones struggling with or lost to Alzheimer’s and dementia.
All the money raised will be used locally to assist those with Alzheimer’s or dementia and to research. Monies are awarded through an application process for living expenses, medication, medical equipment, respite stays and other uses.
We would like to take a moment and thank all the event contributors, those who raise money and those that donated to this wonderful cause. These contributions allow us to help many with expenses while they are battling Alzheimer’s or dementia and so far in 2023 we have raised $ 19,671.50.
Each year we display the Hall of Remembrance which is to remember those that have left their loved ones memorials to HCMF. We will always remember those individuals and the signs are on display each year and date back to 2014, when HCMF was founded.
Applications for assistance are available if you or someone you know is battling with Alzheimer’s or dementia. For more information you may contact Ranae Walrath, 660-890-7294 or Christa Atchison, 660-525-1338.
If you would like to donate, write a check to Henry County Memory Fund and mail it to PO Box 741, Clinton, MO 64735, or go to http://cfozarks.org/donate. Under gift designation, donors will have to choose OTHER and then type in Henry County Memory.
