Shooting Sports Take Aim At Henry County Fair

Posted

The 4H Shooting Sports were held in conjunction with the Henry County Fair on July 19-21. The shooting sports included Shotgun, Archery and Rifle.
A huge highlight from the 4H shotgun contest was Bailey Carter shooting his first 50 straight. Hitting 50 straight clay ‘birds’ in a row is a big achievement. Carter and the other 4Hers celebrated the traditional way…throwing his ball cap up and his friends giving it a good shot (shown in picture).
The 2022 National Tournament was held in Grand Island, Nebraska. At Nationals other types of shooting sports are contested, such as Pistol and Muzzle Loader.
