A Stover man was injured in a two-car crash at Missouri 52 just east of Eckhoff Way in Benton County on July 8 at 7:30 AM. According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when Richard L. Koehn, 38, of Stover fell asleep at the wheel of a 2012 Volkswagen Golf crossed the center line of the roadway and struck a 2015 Dodge Ram driven by Shane M. Thompson, 23, of Stover.
Thompson was transported by the Cole Camp Ambulance to Bothwell Regional Health Center with minor injuries. Koehn refused treatment.
Tpr. R. W. Rosenthal of the Missouri Highway Patrol investigated the accident. He was assisted by Benton County Sheriff deputies.

A Kansas fourteen-year-old girl was seriously injured in an ATV accident on Balke Road east of Oak Ridge Avenue in Benton County on July 6 at 7:50 PM.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when the Tonganoxie, Kansas teenager was operating a 1998 Honda Fourtrax ATV westbound on Balke Road when she fell of the vehicle. Another fourteen-year-old girl from Clinton was riding with her but was not injured.
The Kansas girl was transported by the University of Missouri Air Ambulance to the University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. D. A. Paulsen of the Missouri Highway Patrol.

A Blairstown man was seriously injured in an accident on July 6 at 11:05 PM on Route T south of Route TT in Benton County.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Sidney L. Riley, 49, of Blairstown was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Trail Blazer southbound on Route T in Benton County when he travelled off the right side of the road, returned to the road and crossed the center of the road. The Blazer continued off the left side of the road, collided with a tree and overturned.
Riley was flown to the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries.
