The Missouri State Highway Patrol has issued an active Endangered Person Advisory for a 1-year-old girl who was taken from her legal guardian's home in Clinton on Sunday morning.
Ezrah Renae English was removed without permission during a supervised visit at 423 W. Gravel Street at approximately 10:56 a.m. on Sunday, August 30. Police have identified the suspect as the child's non-custodial birth mother, 23-year-old Jasmine Rashon English.
The suspect and child were seen leaving in a white 2011-2015 Lincoln MKZ hybrid four-door sedan with unknown license plates. Authorities report the vehicle was driven by an unidentified Black male, with an unidentified white female in the passenger seat. The car was last seen traveling eastbound on W. Short Street.
Authorities have released the following descriptions to aid in the active search:
● The Child: Ezrah Renae English is a 1-year-old Black female, 2 feet 6 inches tall, weighing approximately 20 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair styled in pigtails with blue hair ties. Distinguishing marks include a small birthmark between her shoulder blades and a large circular birthmark above her tailbone. She was last seen wearing a light blue ruffled shirt or dress, white shorts, and blue-and-white Nike Jordan sneakers.
● The Suspect: Jasmine Rashon English is a 23-year-old Black female, 4 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 123 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white shirt, black or grey sweatpants, and white shoes with black shoelaces.
Captain Paul Abbott of the Clinton Police Department noted that while local authorities initially requested an Amber Alert, the state determined the circumstances did not meet the criteria for that alert system, resulting in the Endangered Person Advisory.
Abbott confirmed that investigators are following several active leads that cannot yet be made public due to the ongoing investigation.
"It sounds like we're getting closer, and I would anticipate some movement on it anytime," Abbott said, noting that law enforcement continues deploying regional resources to resolve the case quickly.
Authorities strongly advise the public not to approach the suspect or the vehicle if spotted. Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts should immediately call 911 or the Clinton Police Department at 660-885-5561.
