Benton County Full Of Magical Moments This Christmas Season

The Christmas season is among us here in Benton County and while there have already been several Christmas events, there are plenty more to come before December 25.
Kaysinger Christmas is scheduled for December 1 and 2 at the Truman Dam Visitor's Center and the Kaysinger Village. Everyone is invited to step back in time with members of the Kaysinger Pioneer Heritage Association as they reenact Christmas from the 1800’s on December 2 and December 3 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Come and be enchanted by luminary lit paths, cozy hearths and warm cider. Dinner will be available at the food barn. Cost is $3 for adults and $2 for ages 6-12. There is no admission for those 5 and under. The purchased wristband is good for both days.
Christkindlmarket will be held on December 1 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM in Cole Camp. There will be hot apple cider as well as food trucks available with lots of goodies. There will be opportunities for pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus as well as carriage rides, carolers and living window displays.
On December 3, there will be the 28th annual program of German Christmas music at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Cole Camp with carols being sung in German. The concert will feature the German Singers of Cole Camp. Following the concert, refreshments will be served in the fellowship hall. There is no admission charge--it’s all free for your enjoyment.
Studio A Dance Conservatory in Sedalia will present the classic Christmas tale, “The Tale of the Nutcracker” on December 2 and December 3 at the Heckart Performing Arts Center on the Smith Cotton High School campus. Curtain time is 5:30 PM on December 2 and 2:30 PM on December 3. Three Benton County girls will be performing in this well-known ballet. Brooklyn Taylor from Cole Camp and Amelia Roberts and Clara Adler from Warsaw will take the stage in this magical Christmas tale. Tickets can be purchased at the door or reserve seats at www.sadanceconservatory.com.
A Hallmark Christmas will be held in Warsaw on December 9. Activities include: breakfast with Santa from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM and children’s crafts in the Warsaw Community Building.
Downtown Christmas festivities begin at 11:00 AM on Main Street with food trucks and holiday shopping at all the downtown businesses.
From Noon until 3:00 PM there will be horse drawn carriage rides starting at Drake Harbor and a live Nativity scene from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM.
The Warsaw Christmas parade is scheduled for 6:00 PM with floats and music coming down Main Street.
The Warsaw R-IX Music Department and it's ensembles will perform at many locations this holiday season, including: WHS caroling at Kaysinger Christmas on December 2 at 5:00 PM; South Elementary 2nd-3rd grade program on December 7 at 6:00 PM; the Warsaw Children's Chorus will perform at the Hallmark Christmas on December 9 at 6:00 PM and caroling at Warsaw Health and Rehabilitation on December 13; the WHS Band will be at the Hallmark Christmas parade on December 9 at 6:00 PM, JBMS Winter concert on December 13 at 7:00 PM, WHS Winter concert on December 14 at 7:00 PM and WHS caroling at for Firehouse Kids on December 21 at 6:00 PM.
The annual Lincoln Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, December 9 at 11:00 AM on Main Street in Lincoln. The Christmas craft vendors will be located in the Lincoln School little gym from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
Pictures with Santa can be taken in the Lincoln little gym after the parade.
On December 10 a new event will be added to the Lincoln Christmas celebration with the Lincoln Holiday Homes Tour. Participants will be given a map and they can tour each home in any order.
