Christmas is in the air at the lodge. The lodge has adopted 9 families which include 32 children. The shopping lists are being made, food is being collected and the wrapping committee is formed. If you would like to volunteer for any jobs to help out with the Christmas For Families, please call the lodge or stop by and let someone know.
The committee has also been formed for our Veterans Christmas. Again, if you would like to volunteer to help out this committee, please call the lodge. The lodge recognizes all veterans in residential care centers by giving them a special gift for their service and dedication to our country.
The Annual Elks Hoop Shoot for all Benton County children will be on Saturday, December 2. The Elks Hoop Shoot is a free throw contest for kids ages 8 to 13. The program is free to all contestants and provides youth an opportunity to compete, connect and succeed through hard work and healthy competition. The registration begins at 9:00 AM and the contest begins at 10:00 AM. The event will be held at John Boise Middle School in Warsaw. Participants do need their birth certificate to register.
Our memorial service is set for December 3 at 6:30 PM. This event honors all of our members who have passed away this past calendar year.
Stephanie Anderson, ER, presented a check to Ashley Taylor at our meeting on November 20. The lodge had a very successful fundraiser on November 10 to benefit Ashley, a City of Warsaw police officer who was involved in an auto accident. The lodge raised more than their goal because of the generous people in Benton County and our lodge.
