Cardinals Track Wins Big, On The Road At Butler

The Clinton High School Track & Field Program and Clinton Christian Academy traveled to Butler, MO for the Butler Invitational 2023.

In the Boys 100 Meter Dash Jace Wilson brought home 3rd for Clinton and Dom Jackson bright home 13th. Glenn Bellamy brought home 23rd and Mathew Hansen brought home 31st for Clinton Academy.
In the 200 Meter Dash Jace Wilson once again reelled in 3rd place for the Clinton Cardinals and following quite a ways behind him was his peer Cory Garrison who got 21st place in the race. Clinton Academy’s Jared Wisniewski got 8th place in this dash and his peer Matthew Hansen got 29th.
In the 400-meter Dash Clinton’s Cameron Mertz took home 3rd place and Payton Sales were not far behind in 6th. For the Clinton Christian Academy Patriots, Jared Wisniewski brought back 7th place in this race.
In the 800 Meter Run, the Cardinal’s Gage Ross got 1st place and Jackson Woodland placed 13th. For Clinton Academy Glenn Bellamy placed 5th.
For the Boys 1600 Meter Run Nickolas Crowel brought in 30th place, In 31st place Gavin Howerton bright himself over the line in less than one second behind Nickolas, bringing up the rear Ethan Johns came in 39th place for Clinton High School boys. Mason Plum came in 25th for the Patriots.
For the Boys 3200 Meter Run Finals, Brock Gray rang in 3rd for Clinton, Nickolas Crowell came in 19th and Gavin Howerton in 23rd.
In the BOYS 110 METER HURDLES FINALS, Triston Switzer came in 4th for the Cardinals, and Mason Plum came in 16th for the Patriots.
For the BOYS 300 METER HURDLES FINALS, Landon Pope brought 13th place back for Clinton.
The Clinton High School boys ran the tread off their shoes and brought back 1st place in the following events: BOYS 4X100 METER RELAY FINALS, BOYS 4X200 METER RELAY FINALS, BOYS 4X400 METER RELAY FINALS, and BOYS 4X800 METER RELAY FINALS.
For the BOYS LONG JUMP FINALS: Andrew Himes of Clinton High School placed 17th for the Cardinals, for the Patriots coming in 18th was Jared Wisniewski, and coming in 28th is Matthew Hansen.
In the BOYS TRIPLE JUMP FINALS: Andrew Himes brings in 9th place in this event for Clinton, and Landon Pope brings in 18th place for the Cards.
In the triple jump for the Patriots Jared Wisniewski was in 16th place, and Matthew Hansen in 23rd place.
Tristian Switzer brought 1st place back for Clinton in the BOYS POLE VAULT FINALS, and Markus Oliver also placed 6th in this event.
For the BOYS DISCUS FINALS: Isaac Tennal brought 2nd place home for CHS, Malachi Wilson placed 21st in this event of 34 people.
In the BOYS JAVELIN FINALS: Michael Chapa placed 7th, and Carson Roskop placed 9th. For the Patriots Mason Plumb placed 23rd out of 31 throwers.
BOYS SHOT PUT FINALS: Isaac Tennal placed 6th for Clinton High School and Cohen Bramell placed 23rd out of 36 throwers.
