On Friday, November 22, 2024, Clinton Christian Academy sent 27 upper school students to Southwest Baptist University for the College Preparatory Championships. Each student was able to take a total of two, college level tests, from 10 different topics. Testing sessions ended around 11:30 am and students were treated to lunch provided by SBU. Students attended an awards ceremony after the scores were tallied. The top performing students in each testing subject were; Colten Manning 2nd place in Biology, while Matthew Hansen received 3rd. Allie Thornton took 2nd place in College Algebra and Miyah Carmichael took 4th place. Aric Wilson received 2nd place in Computer Science. Mason Plumb received 2nd place, David Neal received 3rd place and Oliver Mosley received 4th in English Grammar. Parker Lowe received 2nd place in New Testament, while Clara Hyke received 4th place. Aric Wilson took 1st place and Parker Lowe took 4th place in Old Testament. Kennedy Vaughn received 4th place in American Government. Colten Manning took 1st place, Maggie Foster received 3rd place and Kaylana Scott placed 4th in Psychology. Overall score awards followed and Clinton Christian Academy was awarded the first place trophy! Seniors, Dakoda Vallentine, Audrey Foster, Kennedy Vaughn, Clara Hyke and Aric Wilson graciously accepted the trophy for CCA during the ceremony.
