Posted

Clinton Christian Academy Senior Athlete Clara Hyke has become the first Patriot to sign an athletic scholarship to play a college sport. Clara (daughter of Nathan and Becky Hyke) will be playing volleyball at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Volleyball Coach Ken Carver was present to make the scholarship presentation. John Brown University is a Christ-Centered University founded in 1919 by traveling evangelist John Brown. Clara will be majoring in Kinesiology and will become a Physical Therapist. Clara has quite an athletic background as she received All-State honors all four years of high school in Volleyball, Basketball and Track. Clara also demonstrated academic excellence by being class Valedictorian, graduating with 41 college hours, and maintaining above a 4.0 GPA. Clara loves the Lord and is committed to Colossians 3:23 “Work heartily unto the Lord, not man”.
