The Clinton Christian Academy Lady Patriots defeated Christian Learning Center with a hard fought 51-41 victory in Joplin Missouri. This win secured the 2024-25 MCSAA Missouri State Championship and is historic as it’s the first repeat title for the Patriots! In a state tournament defined by grit, hustle, and teamwork, the Patriots relied on contributions from every player to eventually secure the title.
The Patriots set the tone early with aggressive defense and timely shooting. The defensive effort was led by senior captain, Clara Hyke who finished with 5 steals, 6 assists and 12 points. Freshman guard Brooklyn Wisniewski led all scorers with 14 points and 3 steals. Sophomore guard Carissa Compton completed a strong tournament scoring 11 while limiting CLCs leading scorer to below her season average. In the paint, Senior Audrey Foster was a force battling for rebounds while also chipping in 9 points.
The championship marks the third state title in 6 years for the Lady Patriots. “This was a complete team win,” said head coach JD Manning. “ We got in a little foul trouble and really needed every single one of our players to get through this tournament- whether it was scoring, rebounding, defense or just bringing energy from the bench. That’s what championship teams do, and I couldn’t be prouder.”
This victory marks a milestone for Clinton Christian Academy, underscoring the school’s commitment to both academic and athletic excellence. CCA is a private school in Clinton, MO with an environment based on Christian values, patriotism, and a solid curriculum Pre-K to 12th grade.
