On February 24, 2025 at 6 PM. The Clinton school district held their regular monthly meeting, all in attendance were; Scott Bernard, Eric Townsend, Ryan Parks, Cody Westerndorff, Dan Brungardt, Christian Meier, Marilyn Parrat, Thumper Womack and Matt Willings. Clinton technical school celebrated their success of their school and their students at the meeting. In recognition was three juniors, that came back as second years. Next on the agenda, the January financial reports were discussed and enrollment into the Clinton school district has increased steadily in the last three years. The Clinton school district happily accepted a donation from Benware Tractor & Auto. On May 1 the MEC annual seller financial disclosure statements for political subdivisions are due, it was also discussed that they have ran out of snow days and will have to pack some extra days on during the school year with Easter Monday being a possibility or possibly just add it on the end as per usual. The advocacy day and student showcase is Tuesday March 11, at the State Capital. Individuals from sports solution gave a presentation for the new ballfields for the school. They gave quite a few different examples of different layouts that may be best for the ballfields. Next was approval for the revised request to speak to the BOE form, it was approved. The motion for the revised purchasing policy was also approved. HVAC replacement was approved as well. The motion of replacing water drains at the middle school was approved. The school council discussed the district health insurance rates for 2025 and 2026, it was discussed that the health insurance went up about 6% about 215 people are insured through the school. The school council discussed possibly setting up an insurance committee next year to see if they can find insurance with better rates. The meeting was adjourned.
