Edward R. Welborn, 79 of Warsaw, MO went to his final rest on Friday November 17th, 2023, and "I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day" (John 11:24). He and his wife Marva (Gould-Stowe-Welborn) were married in 1986. Ed was born in Texas and lived there until his graduation from Dalhart High School. He moved to Kansas City and married his first wife Saundra. They had four children, Roy, Theresa, Marie, and James Welborn. He married Marva who had four children, Tim, Danny (Terra), Julie (Brett) and James Patrick Stowe.
He worked for Allied Signal and retired after 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents Archie and Nellie, a sister, Patsy, and brother Archie, Jr. and ex-wife Saundra and grand-daughter Amanda.
He is survived by his wife Marva, sister Debbie Austin, 17 grandchildren, Timothy, Kaylie, Gabriel, Michael, Taliah, Lailah, Jessica, Melina, Davidlee, Coby, Brandon, Jessy, Sophie, Jonathan, Alicia, Brittany, and Jacob and 17 great-grandchildren, Ayshia, Nikolai, Mikayla, Evelyn, Madison, Milo, Colton, Jenson, Trinity, Iris Quinley, Ellie Lou, Sabrina, Rarity, Vivian, Josilynn, Viola and Titus.
They moved from Kansas City to Warsaw in 1999 and ran Basswood Lawn Service until he retired from mowing in 2022. They also own and manage Basswood Boat Storage.
