Postseason Awards
Last week the WHS spring sports coaches were asked to acknowledge their postseason awards. Those include:
Baseball:
Kaysinger All-Conference - Reece Heany, Carter Miller and Brayden Pipal. Honorable Mention - Jude Burkhart.
Academic All-State - Team.
Academic All-State - Conner Barnes, Robb Hadley, Reece Heany, Brayden Pipal, Jackson Burkhart and Rowan Cox.
*The team set a school record with 22 wins. The baseball players in the graduating class of 2025 set a four-year career record with 77 wins.
Track & Field:
Academic All-State - Marcus Graves, Lily Betsworth, Ava Burkhalter, Rebekah Roberts, Izzy Henderson, Mac Wright, Rylee Detherage, Luna Munoz, Kimber Drenon, and Riley Gorr.
Softball:
Kaysinger All-Conference - Dani Ashby and Olsyn Wolfe. Honorable Mention - Julia Ashby.
All-District - Dani Ashby and Bailey Hawkins.
