Lady Cards Notch Two More Wins Ahead Of District Play

Senior Skyte Wilson is finishing out her high school basketball career in fabulous fashion. She scored 39 points, 21 in the third quarter alone, in a 63-55 Clinton victory over Warrensburg last Tuesday night and in front of a large Senior NIght crowd.
Clinton's recently crowned all-time leading girl's scorer was held to just two points in the first quarter. Clinton trailed 18-14 after one and 30-27 at the half. Wilson scored 8 more in the second quarter but owned the third frame with 21 points to help Clinton take a 50-40 lead.
Wilson was 7 for 7 from the line and Vyla Brown was 2 for 2 for a perfect 9 for 9 team effort on the night.

On Wednesday night, the Lady Cardinals won a barn burner coming from behind in the fourth quarter to gain a glorious 66-63 victory over visiting Van Horn.
It was 12-10 after one, tied 26-26 at the half and 52-46 after three with the Clinton girls trailing in front of some very nervous fans. However, Clinton's Vyla Brown got a hot hand in the frame and scored 10 points to lead the charge. The scoring queen herself, Skyte Wilson, had 5 and ended with 30 points to add to her career totals.
Clinton moved to 12-10 while Van Horn fell to 13-12.
