Ladycats Lose To Stover At 12 Courts Of Christmas Event

Posted

Another slow start and an especially dismal second period spelled doom for the Warsaw Ladycats when they traveled to Kansas City last Thursday to face Stover in one of many games on the girl's side of the 12 Courts of Christmas event held at the historic HyVee (formerly known as Kemper) Arena.

Warsaw (4-6) managed just 7 points in the opening period and only one bucket in the second quarter and trailed 24-9 at the halftime break.

The Ladycats came to life in the third and put up 14 points but Stover never backed down, putting up 16 of their own as the ladies in Green and Black sat in a 40-23 deficit after three.

A 17-16 fourth quarter margin in favor of the Lady Bulldogs gave them the holiday win.
