Linda Sue Hoffman

9, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026 surrounded by her loving husband and children, who held her hands and thanked her for being an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, friend, teacher and example to the many lives she touched.
Linda was born on July 11, 1946, in Osceola, Missouri, to John Kauffman and Alice Ruth Heare Kauffman. She graduated from Wellington-Napoleon Senior High School with the Class of 1964. She later married the love of her life, Wendell Hoffman, at St. Luke Evangelical Church in Wellington, Missouri, beginning a lifelong partnership built on love, faith, and devotion to family.
Linda is survived by her devoted husband, Wendell Hoffman; her daughter, Angela (Ed) Sterling of Odessa, Missouri; her son, David (Cathy) Hoffman of Parkville, Missouri; her beloved grandchildren, Timothy and Elise Sterling; Madeline and Grace Hoffman; and Alyssa, Brooke, and Evan Jones. She is also survived by her brother, Bob (Ellen) Kauffman of Thomasville, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Kauffman and Alice Ruth Heare Kauffman and her sister, Nancy (Ross) Goodloe.
Linda dedicated 25 years of service as a secretary with Odom Oil Company and Clinton Ice Company in Clinton, Missouri. Throughout her life, she faithfully served her communities and churches, including as secretary of the United Methodist Church in Trenton, Missouri, and for both the Christian Church and Methodist Church in Clinton. She also volunteered as a greeter at the Henry County Museum in Clinton and was a longtime member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and P.E.O. where she formed lasting friendships and contributed countless hours of service.
Family was the center of Linda's life. She enthusiastically supported her children in every endeavor, whether cheering at cross country meets, attending youth group events, marching band performances, vocal music concerts, wrestling matches, or theatre productions. She was their greatest encourager, always present with a smile, kind words, and unwavering love.
Nothing brought Linda greater joy than being a grandmother. She treasured every opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren and took immense pride in each of them. Her love for her family was evident in every conversation, every celebration, and every quiet moment shared together.
Linda will be lovingly remembered for her infectious smile, contagious laugh, wonderful sense of humor, and delightfully ornery spirit. She had a gift for making people feel welcome, valued, and loved. Her kindness, faith, generosity, and joyful outlook left an enduring mark on all who knew her.
Her family finds comfort in knowing that the love she shared, the example she set, and the countless lives she touched will continue to be a lasting legacy for generations to come.
Funeral services were held July 10, 2026 at the Clinton Methodist Church with Rev. Monty Stratton officiating. Special music included 'Blessed Assurance, In the Garden and When We All Get To Heaven." The casket bearers were Scott Voelmeck, Jimmy Naber, David Hoffman, Archie Goucher, Todd Pogue and Timothy Sterling. Interment followed in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, MO.
Services were under the direction of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, MO.
Paul Risko
Paul Risko, age 79 passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026 at Medicalodge of Butler, Missouri.
Paul was born September 10, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois the son of Steve Michael Risko and Thelma (White) Risko. Paul was a U.S. Navy Veteran who served in Vietnam.
Graveside services were held Friday July 24, 2026 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri with Curtis Mills officiating.
Services were under the direction of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, MO.
