Benton County Economic Development and Benton County's MU Extension office partnered with New Growth Women’s Business Center and hosted a “Credit as an Asset” workshop in Benton County on Wednesday, October 9 from 5:30 PM-7:30 PM.

The session was held in Lincoln’s City Hall and a meal was provided due to the time of the training.

Tiffany Frost and Kim Carter from the New Growth Women’s Business Center were on hand to help attendees understand how to build or rebuild their credit.
Frost and Carter worked with the attendees on how to access and understand credit reports and warned them of pitfalls that affect their credit ratings. They, in clear and concise ways, worked with the listeners and gave pointers on how wise it is to speak to a credit specialist if you feel you need help in protecting your very valuable tool of a good credit rating.

The workshop was sponsored by Community National Bank and Equity Bank and is the second such program to be held this year. The bank's not only funded the dinner but gave gas cards (one per family) to those attending. Reservations were required to attend the event.
