Clinton's Amitria McNack secured her fourth state medal in as many years and Will Golder claimed his first at the 2025 MSHSAA Wrestling Championships held at Mizzou Arena on the campus of the University of Missouri in Columbia last Wednesday and Thursday.
McNack (50-2) took the second place spot after losing to Brookfield's Mya Sackrey (45-1) by fall in the championship match (5:32), rounding out a stellar high school career for the Lady Cardinals.
Kylee Whalan, Bailey Pack and Gwen Phillips all battled but came home emty-handed in their first trips to the state event.
For the Cardinals, Golder (42-7) used a 10-6 decision to take the win over Aaron Keene (32-11) of St. Francis Borgia, solidifying his spot on the podium for Clinton.
Lucas McMenemy, Brody Barnhart and Payton Goth were all unable to find a spot on the state podium this season. McMenemy's Cardinals career came to an end while Barnhart and Goth will return next season, looking for improvement.
