Coach Monaco is entering his 17th year of coaching football. He began coaching at St. Pius X High School in Kansas City, Missouri and spent 3 years with the Warriors coaching WR’s and DB’s. He spent the next 4 years in Clinton coaching at the middle school and high school levels along with coaching a variety of positions before moving on to coach in Windsor alongside Coach Vencill for 5 years. In Windsor, he worked as a special teams coordinator, defensive assistant, and coached WR’s and DB’s. During his time there, the Greyhounds won 2 District Championships and a State Championship in 2020. Coach Monaco returned to Clinton as a Strength & Conditioning teacher in 2021 and is currently in his 5th year in the district. He will be serving as the Defensive Coordinator this upcoming season.
Coach Monaco is a 2004 Clinton High School graduate. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from William Jewell College in 2009 majoring in Physical Education. In 2017, he received his Master’s Degree from UCM in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science. Also, in 2017, he became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Coach Monaco is married to Britnea Monaco and is the proud father of 3 children, Franki (6), Rocco (4), and Benni (3). Outside of coaching, he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids.
