Wanda Sue Crawford departed this life on February 1, 2026 in Sedalia, Missouri, at the age of eighty-three years. 

Wanda Sue Crawford, daughter of Harold and Clarice Campbell, was born October 1, 1942 at Wallace Hospital in Lebanon, Missouri.

Wanda spent most of her childhood living in Richland, Missouri, before moving to Illinois for a few years, then returning to Conway, Missouri at the beginning of her freshman year of high school, graduating in the class of 1960. Wanda worked at St. John’s-Smith Glynn Callaway Clinic in Springfield, Missouri, Breech Medical Center in Lebanon, Missouri, ending her working career as a hotel housekeeper in Springfield, and Clinton, Missouri.

Wanda made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at a young age. Her relationship with God and being involved in church were an important part of her life in which she made it a priority for her children to be involved in church also. Throughout the years, her faith in God has played a vital role in her life. Her love and faith in God, and His provision, has guided her steps throughout her life. As a reflection of God’s presence in her life, she was baptized on December 25, 2021 as an outward expression of an inward change. Her love for God continued to grow deeper each day, longing for her heavenly home.

She leaves to celebrate her memory, three children, Sonjia Sapp and her husband J.R., Vanessa Hanson and her husband John, and John Crawford and his wife Angie; nine grandchildren, Allison Sapp, Randi Purdy and her husband Shane, Caleb Hanson, Derrius Henderson, Zachary Hanson, Emalee Hanson, Noah Hanson, Mason Crawford, and Kinley Crawford; four great grandchildren; Ethan Bailey, Hazel Purdy, Ridge Purdy, and Octavia Hanson, along with other relatives and friends.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Clarice Campbell, and her brother, Larry Lee Campbell.

She was a beloved mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother who will be greatly missed.

Funeral services were held February 6, 2026 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton with Rev. John Hanson officiating.  The casket bearers were Caleb Hanson, Zachary Hanson, Noah Hanson, Mason Crawford, Derrins Henderson and Ethan Bailey. Interment followed in Wair Cemetery, Richland, MO.

Services were under the direction of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, MO.
