A Warrensburg man, Brent Carroll, 20 was operating a Bad Boy Rogue lawnmower for the company he works for when the mower began sliding sideways from the top of a steep embankment. As he slid he was headed toward a pond when the left rear tire dug into the ground at the edge of the pond bank. The lawnmower then overturned on its top in the pond, pinning Carroll underneath the surface of the water.
The Missouri Highway Patrol responded to the accident. Trooper J.S. Baughman went to 825 NE 595 private road at 2:40 p.m. on Friday, June 28. Paramedic Dustin Dodson pronounced Carroll dead at the scene. The body was transported to the Bradley Funeral Home.
