Warsaw got 13 points from sophomore guard Tanna Howe but she was the only Ladycats player to reach double figures in a 76-29 loss at Lone Jack last Friday afternoon. The Ladycats played the first game of a boys-girls doubleheader against the Mules as part of an assembly event with the school's student body in the stands.
The sharp shooting of the home team got them out to an early lead of 20-5 after early shooting woes plagued the Ladycats (0-1, 0-0).
High percentage shots for Lone Jack and points in transition off of turnovers helped them stretch their lead to 38-17 at the half.
A 21-6 advantage in the third quarter extended Warsaw's deficit to 59-23 before the turbo clock in the fourth ended with a 76-29 final.
Howe paced Warsaw with 13 points while Rachel Henderson was next in line with 5.

In the boy's game, the Wildcats gave Lone Jack everything they could handle, but untimely turnovers and empty possessions in the final minutes sent Warsaw home with a 47-42 loss against a team that racked up 23 wins just one season ago.
Sloppy ball handling and possessions, in general, took their toll on both squads in the early going as they found themselves tied 9-9 at the end of the first and again at 15-15 at the break.
A 17-13 margin for the Wildcats (0-1, 0-0) gave them a slight lead at 32-30 to finish the third but the Mules came back late and Warsaw came up empty on too many trips down the floor as they fell, 47-42.
Logan Gemes led the Wildcats with 13 points while Garrett Ferguson also hit double digits with 10.
