Barbara Kay Greer Robinson 78, of Independence Missouri died march 8, 2023 after suffering a stroke. Born on November 6, 1944, to Reed Greer and Lola Mae Manley Greer in Adrian Missouri. Barbara spent her early life helping on her family’s farm. Barbara married Loren Kay Robinson on December 29, 1961. To this marriage was born four children, Loree Kay Robinson October 13-15, 1962, Leon Reed Robinson October 7, 1963-September 6, 2020, Kevin Kay Robinson May 30, 1965-May 26, 2005 and Kenneth Nathen Robinson. Kay and Barbara also adopted three of their four grandchildren Pleasants Kay Robinson Murray, Derek Kay Robinson, and Nathen Slade Robinson. Barbara also had a grandson Jeremy Nathen Robinson, 7 Great-Grandchildren Kyleigh Mora, Emery Robinson, Chase Robinson, William Murray, Bryson Murray, Jayden
Robinson, and Bentley Robinson. Barbara Spent her life making sure her family was well taken care of. During her life she worked at Tension envelope, Allis
Chalmers, Westport Flea Market snack bar, Bookers Auction snack bar (she was famous for her tenderloins), ran a boarding home and loved to help her husband Kay do Auctions and Produce Stands. Barbara operated a huge greenhouse creating wonderful hanging baskets and planters. Barbara along with her husband Kay were well known as the Tightwad Tomatoe Man, together with Kay by her side she was a shrewd businessperson with a good eye for antiques and making a dollar. Barbara was also known for her pull-no-punch attitude. You always knew where you stood with her as she told it like she had seen it. Barbara spent her final years caring for her husband Kay and grandson Nathen, going to bingo and the boat. Barbara never stopped caring for family and friends. Barbara left a whole in the world on March 8, 2023, when she went to Heaven to be with her children Loree, Leon and Kevin, Barbara is survived by her husband Loren, grandson Nathen and son Kenny of the home in Independence.
