Bodine “Bo” Johnson, 52, of Windsor, Missouri, died unexpectedly late Saturday night, June 1, 2024, at his home in Windsor.
He was born May 1, 1972, in Clinton, Mo., the son of Phillip Stephens and Carol Jean (Kay) Johnson. On June 29, 1995, he married Olivia Johanne Brooks and she survives of the home.
Bo was a 1990 graduate of Clinton High School and attended machinist school at State Fair Community College. He worked for J.E. Dunn Construction Co. and was a member of Local 1596 (formerly Local 777). He was a member of Windsor Assembly and had attended Celebration Center in Sedalia. He was an avid fan of the Miami Dolphins. Bo was a humble man whose family meant everything to him. His selfless, sacrificial, and loving demeanor will be missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his wife Jo, survivors include 2 children, Trenton Johnson (Alanna) and Carmyn Lilley (Bruce), all of Windsor; 3 grandchildren, Joshua and Olivia Lilley and Everett Johnson; parents, Phillip and Carol Stephens, Windsor, Mo.; father and mother-in-law, Ronald and Ada Brooks, Warsaw, Mo.; 3 brothers, Vernon Stevens (Jessica), Clinton, Mo., Jason Hamblin, Raymore, Mo., and JR Stephens (Felecia), Lincoln, Mo.; 2 sisters, Jodie Eberting (Chad), Raymore, Mo., and Jennifer Shaw (Terry), Warrensburg, Mo.; an uncle, Dale (Cheryl) Johnson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his biological father, Michael Hamblin; a grandmother, Pete Hudgens; an uncle, Mike Johnson; an aunt, Linda Steward, and a cousin Bubby Steward.
Funeral services were 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Windsor Assembly, with Pastor Candace Fowler officiating. Burial was in the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor. The family received friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., June 5, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor. The family suggests contributions in Bo’s memory to the Windsor Ministerial Alliance Summer Lunch Program.
