Sharlene Wirsig

Sharlene was born the daughter of Walter Eugene (Buddy) Braun and Betty Batschelett Braun on October 16, 1951 in Clinton, Missouri. In August of 1976, Sharlene married Richard Lee Wirsig. She was a member of the Clinton Methodist Church.
Sharlene attended Drury College and the University of Missouri. After college, she moved to Arizona and worked for two years. Sharlene then moved back to Missouri and started working at Hobson Interiors in 1975. Sharlene and Richard purchased Hobson Interiors with partners Jim and Linda Martin in 1982, and still own it today. Sharlene also had a love for horses, which she shared with her daughter, Lana. Together, they traveled all over the country for Lana to show her horses. Sharlene is survived by her husband, Richard Lee Wirsig; mother Betty Braun; daughter Lana Markway and husband Taylor Markway; stepson Blaik Wirsig and wife Cindy Wirsig; and aunts Darlene Woods and Mary Batschelett. She also leaves behind numerous cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, W.E. (Buddy) Braun; paternal grandparents Henry and Violet Braun; maternal grandparents Walter and Ruth Batschelett; and sister Suzetta Busby. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Clinton Animal Shelter and may be left in care of the funeral home.
