Each season we try to review the history of the different Cardinal teams, here is a look at the softball program. Historical Cardinal Softball Stats: The Cardinal softball program started in the Fall of 1998. Next fall (2022) will be their 25th year. They have won 201 games and lost 295. The Lady Cards have had 8 winning seasons and two seasons ‘tied’. They have had nine coaches with Mike Elliot having 6 seasons at the helm. Coach Harris captured the most wins with 48 over 4 seasons. The Cards have had 4 Conference Championships and 2 District Championships. At least 7 Cardinal softball players went on to the college level: Clifton, Eaton, Thornly, Cook, Sisk, Wishard and Petry. The most wins in a Senior Career is 63 (2013-16). The most team wins in a single season is 18 accomplished in 2013. The Cards moved to the MRVC in 2020. Most stats came from MSHSAA modified when needed.
