Cardinals Baseball Puts Wrap On Season, Honors Players With Awards Banquet

Many awards were handed out at the baseball awards ceremony held on Monday, June 6 at the PAC center at the Clinton High School.
Honors awarded players for their accomplishments and success throughout the 2022 baseball season.
JV: Tate McQueen (Most Improved), Gabe Simmons (Grinder), Lucas McMenemy (Model Citizen),
Varsity: Gage Mantonya (Grinder), Anthony Gumminger (Most Improved), Noah Adams (Cardinal Award).
The All-Conference, All-District honors went to Jake Wirsig, Anthony Gumminger, Tyler Gardner and Gage Mantonya.
The whole team received the Academic All-State Award with a 3.45 GPA.
The Seniors and their parents were also recognized.
In his final season with the Cardinals, Coach Lersch had kind words for all the parents and his coaching staff (Eric Silkwood, Gary Bowers and Vincent Crispi). He reviewed the ups and downs of the season and some of the experiences that made the season special.
