Cardinals Drop Two To Center, Oak Grove

Clinton basketball will have to wait for another week to try to find some wins as they fell in back-to-back contests last week to Center at home and at Oak Grove.
Last Tuesday night, baskets were hard to come by as the Cardinals recorded 0 field goals in the first quarter and quickly fell behind, 20-8. A 20-11 margin for the visitors in the second led to a 40-19 halftime deficit.
More shooting woes continued in the second half for the Cardinals as they just couldn't find the bottom of the net. A 39-11 second half advantage for Center put the Cardinals to sleep, 80-30.
Evan Mantonya led the Clinton offense with 10 points.

The Cardinals trailed just 16-13 at the end of the first on Friday night, but a 34-15 advantage for Oak Grove in the combined second and third quarters spelled demise for Clinton as they fell to the Panthers by a 64-45 final.
Evan Mantonya led the Cardinals with 12 points while Kaiden Townsend came in closely behind him with 10.
