The Cardinals fell to Pleasant Hill, 16-1 and Versailles, 9-7, before rebounding to pickup a win over Center on Thursday to salvage at least one win from a busy week.
The Cardinals are still hovering above .500 at 5-4 on the season.
In their first game of the week last Tuesday, Clinton managed just 1 run on 1 hit in a 16-1 loss to Pleasant Hill at home.
After the offense came out rolling to begin their season, a Will Golder single in the bottom of the third inning was all the offense the Cardinals could come up with.
The Rooster plated 3 runs in the first to take an early lead and then added 7 in the second, 1 in the third and 5 more runs in the fifth for the lopsided final.
Maverick Martin absorbed the loss on the mound for Clinton. Kaiden LaFarge, Adam Toal and Jack English also toed the rubber for the Cardinals.

Clinton added a run in the sixth and 2 more in the seventh but came up just short in the 9-7 road loss.
Jack English led the way for the Cardinals with 2 hits while 1 apiece was contributed by Kaeden LaFarge, Maverick Martin, Will Golder, Jimmy Schmedding and Kaiden Townsend.
Ryan Lowe took the loss for Clinton. Conner Bramell also saw time on the bump.

Center tied the game in the top of the third but the Cardinals reclaimed their lead with 1 run in the bottom of the fourth to make it 4-3.
