Carrol Kay Rotert, age 80 of Montrose, Missouri passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
Carrol Kay was born on June 5, 1943 in Clinton, Missouri to Kenneth and Virginia (Green) Meadows. She graduated from Clinton High School. She married Arthur Rotert on September 1, 1962. They farmed in Henry County. Carrol was a homemaker and helped on the farm. She attended church in Montrose, Missouri.
Carrol was the “Grandparent” she didn’t have to be to Clayton Farmer (great nephew). She spoilt him his whole life. Her and Art took him to the lake or on vacation, made sure he learned the farm life. She loved Clayton and his friends.
Carrol is survived by 4 sister-in-law’s, Carol A Rotert, Rose Wainscott, Lorene Horn and Margie Jennings (Gary), her nieces and nephews, Mike Rottinghaus, Sheila (Scott) Munk, Gina (Bob) Saunders, Lisa (Brandon) Voges, Ricky (Misty) Wainscott, Tim Wainscott, Tina Simmons, Lori Wainscott, Theresa (Stephen) Mesa, Mike (Dawn) Horn, Sarah (Jeff) Bartley, Tom (Bhavi) Horn, Wendy Hunt, John (Stacey) Jennings, David (Sam) Roberts, Chris (Kelly) Apsher, Sherri (Mike) Farmer.
Carrol was preceded in death by her husband Arthur, her parents Kenneth and Virginia, her sister Linda Meadows.
She will be greatly missed by her fur baby IV Rose.
Funeral mass was held September 29, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Montrose, MO with Father Jason Koch officiating. Special music included “You Are Mine, Abba Father, We Will Rise Again and How Great Thou Art,” with Sandra Wagner as organist. The pallbearers were Clayton Farmer, Alex Admiree, Caleb Nepple, Jackie Couts, Mike Horn, Rick Wainscott and Tim Wainscott. Interment followed in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, MO.
Services were under the direction of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, MO.
