CCA Lady Patriots Beat LCA For MCSAA State Championship

In a thrilling display of skill, determination, and teamwork the Clinton Christian Academy Lady Patriots basketball team emerged victorious securing the 2023-24 MCSAA State Title. CCA defeated Lighthouse Christian Academy 49-45 to secure the win.
Lighthouse came out firing, hitting 4 three pointers in the first quarter and continued to shoot very well the entire game with a total of 9 three pointers during the game. In the end, the Patriots, led by Junior Clara Hyke, who averaged 17.8 points per game this season, were too much for Lighthouse.
The Patriots are coached by JD Manning and James Phillips.
"We are Incredibly proud of our ladies; we were able to overcome some adversity with foul problems in the second half and finish strong. This was a true team win and we couldn't be happier for the girls and their families,” said JD Manning, Patriots head coach.
The championship win is a milestone for Clinton Christian Academy, underscoring the school's commitment to both academic and athletic excellence. CCA is a private school in Clinton, MO with an environment based on Christian values, patriotism, and a solid curriculum Pre-K to 12.
