Pastor showed a video called, “People Matter”. We are shown all through the Bible, that we mean something to God.
In the first place, He gave His own Son to demonstrate just how important we are to Him. God showed Moses how to build a house for Him for God wanted to dwell His people. If we believe in God, the Holy Spirit lives within you, God even gave Moses the directions for the furnishings of the house. We are important to God. If we trust God, He will even give us directions we can live by. Exodus 25:1-9.
We thank each person who came to worship here today. We pray that you received a rich blessing by being here and that you will come again. See you in church?

God spoke to Moses through a burning bush. Moses obeyed the Lord by stepping away and listening and then doing what the Lord had asked of him. Pastor Margie pointed out Sunday that perhaps there are burning bushes that we need to step aside and see. To recognize that God is calling on us to see a need before us and be ready to be His hands and feet.
On this Labor Day weekend Jesus would remind us to bless those folks who work hard to feed us, tend to our medical need and protect us in all ways. Our job is never ending as Christians to do the work of disciples by telling people of the love of Jesus Christ. It’s not hard, it is just a commitment to God. Can we recognize a burning bush and listen for God’s words? It may mean to step back away from ourselves and see situations through His eyes and His heart.
As we prepare to celebrate Grandparents Day next Sunday, Pastor Margie and others are also hoping to tell all the kids young and old of how our beautiful Chapel came to be. We have been told she has a few other tricks in her yellow bag. We hope you will join us any time in person at 9:00 am or look for Margie Briggs on Facebook Live at that same time. We are located 8 miles east of Clinton off Hwy 52. Just look for the sign. Please remember to look for an opportunity to be a blessing to others!

On Sunday, Pastor Pat Findley gave members and guests an opportunity to reflect on what joy is in his message ‘Joy Comes In The Morning’. He emphasized the importance of slowing down to hear what God is saying. The joy of the Lord doesn’t mean that we won’t experience grief or hard times, but we can rest knowing that whatever we may face is temporary. God turns all things to good. Joy is the response and reaction to knowing Jesus. Sometimes, God allows us to go through things to help us to better learn how to depend on Him. This allows us to grow spiritually. During this time of reflection, Pastor Pat played a beautiful song he wrote titled ‘Deeper Water’ to describe the safety the Lord provides. When we give God control, we can trust Him in all He guides us to do, just as ships are made for sailing but are safe while in the harbor. It is so good to be saved and safe, but it is so much better to be safe and out there in the mission of God! Though storms may come, we can rest assured that joy comes in the morning!

God is always ready to forgive and heal our spirit. Because of this unfailing love he sent Jesus Christ so that we might receive new life, freedom from sin and a life of forgiveness in confessing Jesus as our savior. God’s love never fails so we can rejoice in the power of that eternal love. Be grateful for Jesus Christ who has given us this magnificent gift. Rev. Dr. David Maggi brought the message on Sunday titled Names and Faces. He chose Hebrews 11 as the scripture. Our choir presented the anthem “We Worship As One”.
The donations of prescription glasses, garden seeds, Best Choice labels and school supplies are filling the shelves in the foyer. The response to this mission project has been tremendous. “Put Your Trust in the Lord.”
Galatians 6:7-9. (KJV)
We have to be prepared for the storm. As a church, this is what we should do. We don’t know the damage a storm will bring.
Our strength comes from the Lord. We should be in the word of God. We should be humble enough to say something to someone that we can trust and ask for help because it is better to ask for help than lose your soul.
When we read the bible it gives us strength to see how he brings the people in the bible through their situations.
Acts 5:12-16. (KJV)
We are not exempt from things that Satan wants to do to us. Satan is after Christians more because we gave up the sin to follow Christ. There is no love in Satan.
Peter was arrested and put in prison, but God opened the prison door and loosed his chains. He then locked the door back. There is nothing impossible with God.
It says in Act 12:1 Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church.
Act 12:2. (KJV)
The Devil and his demons will do anything to destroy you.
People were praying for Peter. When we pray, God listens.
Act 12:5.
Peter had faith. He knew God gave him a mission and no one could stop him. Herod couldn’t do anything unless God allowed it. Put your trust in God. He is our power.
Know that there is no limit to what he can do.
If God Calls you to do something and you do it, he will spare you to complete your mission. He will hear your cry on the deathbed and put you in the job he has for you. God Bless

Mt. Zion UMC
Trinity, Rockville, and Mt. Zion United Methodist Churches had messages this week entitled The Long Struggle. Specifically, we learned how all Christians are called to have a passionate faith in Christ Jesus. In it Greek origins, however, passion means “to suffer,” which is not typically what we associate with having passion. So Christians are called to faith suffering. Jesus taught in Matthew 16:21-28, that he would suffer, die, and be raised, as well as all those who wished to follow him must take up their cross beside him. This proves a very strange and hard concept for us to grasp, as the acceptance of Christ often means rejecting worldly success. Nevertheless, true Christians are ones who embrace this call to suffer. For we suffer for Christ. We give our time, talent, and treasure for the glory of God, and this leads us to have joy from acts of sacrifice as we seek to emulate Christ. As Christ suffered for our benefit, so we bear the burdens of our call to follow Christ in the sure and certain hope of life everlasting. For what does it benefit one to gain the entire world, but lose his/her soul? We hope that you will come and worship with us! See you soon!

Come join us each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and be blessed with truths of Jesus Christ. Clint Keeney rang the church bell.
Mrs. Julia Klinefelter led in the congregational singing with Mrs. Dixie Collins playing piano. Randy Vogt and Clint Keeney collected the offering.
The scripture passage from interim Pastor Steve Sowell’s sermon was from John15:1-17. The title of the sermon was “Abide In Christ.”
In this passage Jesus stresses the importance of abiding in Him. Abiding in Him means to reside, remain, rest, and trust in Christ. If we are not abiding in Him our focus in probably on worldly things.
Abide in Jesus and be blessed now and through eternity. Have a blessed week and bless someone else.
