Community Thanksgiving Dinner In The Works

Posted

The Community Thanksgiving Dinner for Thanksgiving Day is being planned. This event fed 1,200 last year and we anticipate needing food for 1,200 again this year.
Volunteers are needed to purchase and bake 100 turkeys and bake 250 apple or pumpkin pies. Volunteers are also needed to cut pies, bag rolls, scoop food into to-go boxes, carry meals outside to drivers, wash dishes, and deliver meals.
Thanks for all the support this event has gotten throughout the years. The committee knows there is a need for this event in our county and anticipates good participation from generous volunteers.
Ready to volunteer and provide food? Or, have questions? Call the Clinton Flower Shop at 885-6921. We also accept donations to help defray the expenses. Make checks payable to “Community Turkey Talkers.”
Need a meal? Reservations will be taken beginning November 1 by calling 885-6921.
