The weather has been really good for the past week, enough for Dean Arnett to put some of his granddaughter Maddie's onion plants in the ground. She loves the sweet Texas Sweet onions when they begin to make bottoms in the spring. He will be making a trip to Barnett to pick up some garden supplies one day soon.

Happy birthday shout-outs to Amber First and Tina Helmig Pratz on Friday, February 9; Brooklyn Jackman on Monday, the 12th; and Sam Scott on Tuesday, the 13th. You all have great birthdays!

Dean and I had a great week of watching local school's play basketball. Climax Springs had 7 girls listed on the team but as time went on it became a team with 5 girls on the team. Those girls are tough players. They lose some but they win some too and this past week Dean and I had the privilege of watching as they won three and lost one. A very enjoyable time we had.

Prayer list for this week: Jesse Crouch, Kathy First, Leland Brown, Lovely Henderson, Carolee Apperson, Lewis and Judy Retherford, Gladys Harris, Curtis Allen and Mary Scarbrough.

The Fristoe Pentecostal Lighthouse Church had the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful church service today by providing a "Dedication Service". Lincoln and Victoria McGuire, Macks Creek, have been attending Fristoe Lighthouse Church nearly a year and became parents for the third time in late summer. Lincoln and Victoria were parents of two little girls and became parents of a boy they named Troy. Sunday, February 4, they joined in the dedication of their son provided by Pastor Tony Smith at the alter in the church, as they dedicated their son Toby to be raised to serve The Lord. Lincoln and Victoria, brought Toby to the front and were joined there by their daughters, Abby and Malea. The church feels very blessed to have this family in church attendance. Sunday had some regulars back in attendance but a few are out with illnesses. Sunday School lesson was based on Acts Chapter 2 and the teaching of the Holy Spirit. Claude and The Lighthouse Singers did a great ''I'll Fly Away" DoBee and Ken did a great special "Jesus Loves Me" in honor of the dedication service and then Dave sang "God Paid A Ransom"! Br. Smith's message was from 1st Timothy Chapter 6.

Thought for the week: The wise will inherit glory: but shame will be the promotion of fools!

Hope as the days get a little bit longer each day good things happen to each!
