HCL Invites All To 30th Anniversary Celebration

The Henry County Library invites the community to attend Bricks, Books, and Beyond…A Chapter 30 Years in the Making, a celebration honoring the 30th anniversary of the library’s current location. A reception will be held on April 25th from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. in the gallery at 123 East Green Street in Clinton. Cake and punch will be served, and commemorative library ornaments will be given out (while supplies last).
Bricks…The library’s current chapter began when the doors of the newly constructed building opened to the public on April 25, 1994. A historical exhibit highlighting past chapters will be displayed at the event.
Books…While joining in the celebration, take time out to explore our collection of nearly 45,000 titles available for checkout…but don’t forget the cake!
Beyond…Another significant milestone occurred in 1994 when the library was introduced to the internet. This valuable service has taken the library beyond the traditional catalog to include a computer lab, free guest wi-fi, hotspot checkouts, educational and genealogical databases, and the ability to read and listen to books online with the Libby app.
Please “check out” the celebration, “reserve” a day to stop by, and visit us “periodical”ly! The Henry County Library is here for you! For more information call (660)885-2612.
