Henry County Fair Poultry Show
Members of 4-H and FFA clubs showed their poultry at the 2023 Henry County Poultry Show on July 13th. Jake Montemayor judged the show. Cathy Bailey was the superintendent of the show.
Abby Jones won Grand Champion Market Pen and Nora Kernohan received Reserve Grand Champion Market Pen.
Abby Jones had Best of Show with her Market Pen.

Henry County Fair Dog Show
8 exhibitors and their dogs participated in this year’s Dog Show on July 15th during the Henry County Fair, which included Rally Style Obedience, Obedience, Showmanship, and Agility. The superintendent for the show was Jessi Frencken.

Henry County Fair Sheep Show
The Henry County Sheep Show was held on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at the Henry County Fairgrounds. Kip Wallace served as the judge for the sheep show, and Dan Wallace served as a show superintendent. On display were 8 market lambs and 10 breeding stock animals from 3 out-of-county exhibitors and 3 Henry County exhibitors.

Henry County Fair Goat Show
The Henry County Fair Goat Show was held on July 12th. 8 out-of-county youth and 6 Henry County exhibitors exhibited 20 animals. Kip Wallace served as the judge for the show, which was directed by co-superintendent Barry and Antoinette Bullock.
In the breeding stock division, Meah McCoy had the Grand Champion Percentage Doe. Marcella Roberts earned Reserve Champion Percentage Doe.
In the market division, Esmerelda Franklin’s market wether was named Grand Champion and Ariana Franklin had the Reserve Champion market wether. In-county Champion Market Wether went to Mattie Johnson and Kylie Moran received in-county Reserve Champion.
The exhibitor showing the highest Rate of Gain was Hadley Carter with a gain of 40 lbs. overall.

Henry County Fair Swine Show
The Henry County Swine show was held on July 13th at the Henry County Fairgrounds. 15 exhibitors exhibited and 12 from Henry County. 33 Animals were judged that day by Kip Wallace.

Henry County Fair Beef Show
The Henry County Fair Beef Show was held on July 12th with 43 animals exhibited. Kip Wallace served as the judge for the show, which was directed by Superintendent Doug Crooks.
The show began with showmanship classes. In the Showmanship contest, exhibitors are evaluated off their ability to effectively display their animal in the show ring. Saydi Hagedorn earned the Senior Showmanship, Atley Patrick took Intermediate Showmanship and Adler Patrick earned the Junior Showmanship award.
In the Breeding Stock Division, Alaina Camirand won Champion Bull with her Jr. Bull Calf, followed by Hattie Marriott in Reserve with her Jr. Yearling Bull. Champion Heifer was won by Saydi Hagedorn and Reserve Heifer was won by Atley Patrick.
For the Market Division, Alder Patrick received Champion Market Steer overall and for Henry County with Jackson Stone earing Reserve Champion Market Steer overall and for Henry County.
In the Pen of Three class, animals are evaluated based on the uniformity and quality that would be expected if buying a group of calves to go to slaughter. The Stover Club Group won this event with steers shown by Celia Durand, Ryder Herx, and Larkin Marriott.
