1) What was the team record goal for this upcoming season?
VC-I believe we will have a winning record throughout A and B. We are pretty spoiled with the group we have this year.

2) What do you do outside of practice to further build relationships with team members?
VC-When I am not at the baseball field we build relationships in the classroom. We also have a weekly class session to build relationships and teach our BOLD program.

3) How often do you practice and how long is that said practice?
VC-We practice 5 days a week for roughly 2 hours a day.

4) What do you have to say about your coaching staff? BE SPECIFIC!
VC-I could not be more blessed with the coaching staff I have. Coach Petry and Golder bring years of experience to the game and in specific areas. I can trust Coach Golder to get the defensive strategies right, while Coach Petry focuses on the offensive side of things, and I can focus on pitching.

5) How do you motivate your team as a whole or a member that is feeling down about a game or poor performance at practice?
VC-We keep it pretty upbeat at practice. I try to make it a fun environment where we are a family. Nobody is afraid to ask questions or make a mistake. Asking questions lets them practice at 100% of their ability leading to playing at 100% of their ability.

6) Would you rather play a game at home or away? WHY?
VC-Home! We do not necessarily practice on our home field but we feel a lot more comfortable on our field and in our hometown.

7) How do you plan to get your team reset after losing a game?
VC-Highlighting the success we had in the game. Remembering all the good we had come out of the game. Then circle back to the parts that we could be better at and focus on them during practice.

8) As a coach what is your favorite part about the job?
VC-Seeing the lightbulb go off. When we focus on something or do a specific drill and then the lightbulb goes off and a kid for one does it perfectly and two knows why we do it. They have a newfound respect for the work they are putting in and see the reward they are getting out of it as well.
