Lady Cardinals End Losing Streak With Wins Over Center, Oak Grove

The Lady Cardinals ended their losing skid last Tuesday night when they took out their frustrations on their visitors from Center in a 69-32 win.
Clinton got out early and led 14-9 at the end of the first and then used a 23-8 margin in the second to propel themselves to a 37-17 halftime lead.
A fairly close 16-13 third made it 53-30 and then a dominant 16-2 advantage for the Lady Cardinals in the fourth led to the dominant 69-32 victory.
The Lady Cardinals' Skyte Wilson led all scorers with a game-high 25 points. Briley Wishard finished with 15 for Clinton.

The Lady Cardinals continued the winning ways that they're used to with a 50-27 win at Oak Grove on Thursday night.
A slow start saw Clinton fall behind 7-5 at the end of the first but a strong 19-7 margin in the second gave the Lady Cardinals a 24-14 halftime lead.
That swagger carried over to the third period where Clinton built a 39-21 lead at the buzzer and then an 11-6 margin in the fourth gave the Lady Cards another win, this time over the Lady Panthers, 50-27.
Skyte Wilson paced the Clinton offense with 21 points while Briley Wishard also tossed in 14 for the Lady Cardinals.

On Monday night, the Lady Cardinals ran into another hiccup at the end of their regular season when they fell at Notre Dame de Sion by a 50-31 final.
Another slow start doomed the Clinton squad when they were only able to post 5 points in the first and 3 in the second but only found themselves down 14-8 at the half.
A 23-11 margin in the third period, in favor of Notre Dame de Sion, buried the Lady Cardinals as they trailed 37-19 at the horn. A 13-12 deficit in the fourth led to the 50-31 loss.
