CLINTON CUP CHAMPIONS, the Lady Cardinals got their season off to a great start last week when they pitched three consecutive shutouts in the Clinton Cup, defeating Paseo on Monday, 14-0; Lone Jack on Tuesday, 1-0; and then Odessa in the championship on Friday, 3-0. Clinton, however, was dealt their first loss of the season on Monday night when they fell to Harrisonville by a narrow 2-1 margin. They'll be back on the field on Wednesday night when they travel to Odessa. That game is set for a 5:00 PM start.
