Lew A. Massey, age 89, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Friday night, May 24, 2024 at the Lincoln Community Care Center. He was born on October 24, 1934 in Warsaw, Missouri the son of Lon and Flora (Gregory) Massey. Lew grew up in Warsaw and graduated from Warsaw High School in 1953.

Lew served in the United States Army from July 10, 1957 until his honorable discharge on July 9, 1959. In 1956 he was united in marriage to Carolyn Quigley, unto this union one son Tim was born. Lew worked for Fajen Gunstocks as a production carver for thirty-five years. He might have been most remembered for the many TV antennas he installed across the county. This in effect became a second job for Lew.

He was a member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church and later the First Baptist Church of Warsaw. He also regularly attended the First United Methodist Church.

Lew gave of his time and talents for many years at the City Union Mission. He also volunteered at the Warm House.

On April 16, 1976 he was united in marriage to Louanna Jensen. Lew and Ann were married for thirty-eight years until her passing on July 25, 2014.

He is survived by a son, Tim Massey and his wife Melanie, of Kansas City, Missouri, three step children; Jack Jensen and his wife Claudia of Columbia, Suzanne Batz and her husband Tim, of Lone Tree, Colorado and Keith Jensen, of Warsaw, six grandchildren; Jacob Jensen, of Warsaw, Stefanie Carpenter, of Grover Town, Indiana, Anna Jensen LeBlanc, of St. Louis, Missouri, Dylan Batz, of Lone Tree, Colorado, Alexandria Volker, of Kansas City, Missouri and Justin Volker, of Valdez, Alaska, three great grandchildren; Olivia Carpenter, Emmary Kasper and Wesley Wieting, a sister, Alma Vogler, of Warsaw, numerous other relatives and friends.

Arrangements for his cremation are under the direction of the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw. A celebration of his life will be held by the family at a later date.
