In his first wrestleback, McMenemy lived to see another day when we was victorious over Seneca's Jaxen Rhoads with a 6-1 decision.
On Thursday, McMenemy was still fighting and won his next wrestlback over Kaleb Artherton of Cassville with a close 9-6 tally, putting himself in the consolation semifinals.
There, McMenemy fell to Savannah's Lawson Francis, but nevertheless, still guaranteeing himself a medal.
In the fifth place match, McMenemy fell victim to defeat once again, this time at the hands of Wyett Shipman from Excelsior Springs but still securing his spot on the sixth step of the podium.
