The Clinton Middle School Cardinals are off and running with their 2024 schedule, have rattled off consecutive wins and now sit at 5-0 for the year.
On Tuesday, March 19, the Cardinals rolled past Warsaw with a 16-4 final.
Clinton outhit the Wildcats 13-0, led by Adam P, Hunter K, Conner U and Memphis M with 2 apiece.
Adam P and Memphis M combined for the no-hitter.
On Wednesday, March 20, Clinton made easy work of the Versailles Tigers with an 8-1 final.
Kingston D led the Cardinals with 2 hits.
The Cardinals dispatchedHermitage with a 9-1 final back on March 22.
Adam P, Hunter K, Heath C, Conner U and Cayden M all had 1 hit apiece for Clinton.
Garrett S held the Hornets to just 1 run on 1 hit and struck out 6.
To begin April, Clinton kept things going with a 14-2 win over Buffalo on April 4.
Adam P and Memphis M both had 2 hits for Clinton.
Adam P also managed mound duties and picked up the win for the Cardinals. He surrendered 2 runs on 2 hits while striking out 5.
This past Friday, April 5, Clinton rolled to a lopsided 27-1 win over Weaubleau.
Otis N paced the Cardinals with 3 hits while Hunter K had 2.
Adam P, Wyatt S, McKade M, Heath C and CaydenM all contributed 1 hit apiece for Clinton.
Garrett S earned the mound win. He tossed 4 innnings, gave up 1 run on 1 hits and struck out 11.
Clinton hosted Lincoln on Tuesday night and will host Hermitage again on Friday.
