Deepwater resident Gerri Balius is blessed to pass the word that her maternal grandmother, Clara Agnes Swihart nee Barnhart, is turning 104 years of age on
February 19, 2024.
Clara continues to reside at
Prestige Care Center (formerly Sunnybrook), 400 Highland Street, Fairfield, Iowa 52556. Please feel free to celebrate this wonderful day with us by showering her with cards!
She has mentioned she loves getting cards reminding her of all the memories of love.
Also, she has mentioned advice on living long: 1) Keep God close, and 2) Start each day new.
Clara married Charles Garwood in 1945, when we were at war. Charles served in the U.S. Navy. They gave birth to Rita Marlene Garwood, (Gerri’s mother), in 1946.
