Ronald Lee Allee, 70, of Creighton, MO, died Saturday, July 8, 2023 at his farm near Creighton. He was born on June 4, 1953, in Sedalia, MO, the son of Vernon Lee Allee and Marjorie Lorene (Finley) Allee.
Ron attended Otterville Public School and graduated from Otterville High School in 1971. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture business in 1975 at UCM in Warrensburg, MO.
On December 4, 1976, in Creighton, MO he married Julie Ann Meyer. They met in college when Ron was a senior and Julie was a freshman.
They made their first home in Tarkio, MO, where Ron was employed by Evans Grain Co. He was later transferred to Imperial, NE and Horton, KS where he continued working for Evans Grain Co. He next worked at the grain elevator company in Drexel, MO for two years. After moving to Creighton, Ron worked as a dispatcher for B&H Freight Line in Harrisonville, MO, followed by selling real estate for Consolidated Realtors in Harrisonville.
When he became a USPS city carrier in Clinton, MO, he was able to combine two of his passions, being outdoors and socializing. He retired in 2016 after nearly 25 years.
Ron made many friends as a mail carrier, as a member of the Clinton Elks Lodge, and as a golfer at Meadow Lake Country Club. He also enjoyed his “breakfast club” at Reynolds Cafe in Garden City, MO. In his spare time, he loved to deer hunt and check his trail cameras for wildlife pictures. He spent a lot of time in the woods cutting firewood. He was known for selling 10-15 cords per year which helped put all three kids through college loan-free. He was currently in the process of having a lake built in the woods, which was one of his dreams.
The grandkids loved taking Ranger rides on the trails that Papa Ron cleared in the woods behind the house and putting corn out for the deer with him. He enjoyed watching the grandkids play sports and seeing them in school events. His priceless advice: “Drive like you got some sense” and “Watch out for deer while driving back home” and last but not least, “Stop fiddlefarting around.”
Ron is survived by his wife Julie of the home, two daughters, Sara Tignor of Olathe, KS and Hillary (Jacob) VanSlyke of Pleasant Hill, MO and one son, Drew (Jisun) Allee of Korea, four grandchildren, Lilly (12) and Violet (7) Tignor and Carter (10) and Allee (7) VanSlyke; one sister Sandy (Ron) Otten of Sedalia, MO and a brother Tim (Lisa) Allee of Sedalia, MO; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
